Illinois Firearm Concealed Carry Classes
MMI offers a top level Concealed Carry License (CCL) training course consisting of the 16 hrs required by the IL Firearm Conceal Carry Act (FCCA). The class is taught by a certified instructor with over 15 years of firearms experience including United States Marine Corps service as a Marksmanship Instructor, and a NRA Certified Pistol Instructor. The course is taught from our certified curriculum which uses a combination of presentations and, of course, practical application, dry fire and live fire drills! Class sizes are restricted to low numbers to keep instructions as one on one as possible. We offer classes in downtown Minooka, Ill., and utilize local farm fields for our range time.
Our course is broken into four 4-hour blocks, covering the following material:

Written Test
Although not required by the state, we have ALL our students take a written test of 25 questions. This is not a pass/fail test,
but only to ensure that our students are grasping and understanding the information taught. Information is then re-explained for questions that are missed so that everyone has a full understanding of the material.

Live Fire Qualification
The FCCA require that every student pass a live fire qualification with a score of 70% or better on a B27 target. We score based off the scoring rings on the target and not based off a hit or miss of the silhouette. This shows that our students pass our course by showing judicious marksmanship. For our range portion of training, due to malfunctions and other issues we do not allow qualification w/ any 22 cal handgun as well as single shot handgun, or single action revolvers. We ask that you understand our concerns as 22 cal's can have malfunctions w/ diff ammunition as well as pose an unfair advantage in regards to the qualification process.
Our live fire exercises include the required 30 rounds of qualification, but we ask that all students bring at least 50 round of ammunition.

FL & AZ Concealed Carry Qualification
By attending and completing the full 16 hrs of MMI Guns IL Concealed Carry Training, our students meet the statutory requirements that are needed to apply for either (or both) FL & AZ. MMI Guns is happy to supply these state applications, other qualifying paperwork and sign off on the training requirement for these states. We only charge a small admin fee of $15 per state.
The actual application fee fore FL is $112 and for AZ it is $60.
Ea application also requires a photo similar to that needed for a passport.
NOTE: If you have any PTC and would like to qualify for these two states, you must attend the entire 16 hrs of training. HOWEVER, MMI Guns will only charge you for the amount of training you are required to take in combination w/ your PTC.

Why Get Additional Carry Permits Other Than IL??
Because there is no federal reciprocity as of yet, with an IL CC permit a licensee can currently carry in 30 states (including IL). By having a carry permit from another state it adds to how many states an individual can legally carry a concealed firearm.
As an example, an IL resident who has an IL permit and one of or combination of permits from those states mentioned, can then carry in 34-38 states depending on what combination of permits they have.
